About
My Story
My journey towards Traditional Chinese Medicine or TCM started when I fell in love with the graceful movements of T'ai Chi, experiencing how the unique blend of focus and relaxation can have a profound impact on body and mind. Following the "Chi", or energy flow brought me closer to my deeply felt sense of purpose and being of service.
Prior to my studies of Traditional Chinese Medicine I spent many years in the field of Western Science. I am a pharmacist, I hold a PhD in Biochemistry and I worked in Research and Drug Development specializing on antiviral compounds. Integrating Western science with TCM is a fascinating exploration and I believe it is the future of a well-rounded personalized healthcare system.
I received my Master's degree from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine School in Berkeley (AIMC) and my Diplomate from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

I currently treat patients in my private practice in Berkeley. Home visits within the Bay Area are available by prior agreement, please inquire if you are unable to travel.
One day per week I treat clients at the Charlotte Maxwell Clinic in Oakland, a free clinic for low income women with cancer. To learn more or to donate please visit charlottemaxwell.org.
